Brand, Website and Fundraising Support
Very Special Kids (VSK) cares for children with life- threatening conditions by providing a children’s hospice and professional family support services.
A brand audit undertaken by VSK provided the impetus for a critical look at the brand, sub-brands and applications. The new logo needed to modernise the brand’s image and ensure VSK was visually aligned. Being an NFP, tight budgets were expected. To enable VSK to benefit from professional commercial services on a limited budget, MIH undertook the logo design pro bono, with subsequent branding agency work offered at a special NFP rate.
WHAT WE DID
The MIH creative team undertook a complete brand refresh of VSK which included the creation and design of a new logo. This led to a new brand identity for the NFP, conveying a more approachable image. The new brand was also rolled out across a wide range of print-based assets – including corporate communications, wayfinding signage, and apparel. MIH redeveloped the VSK website on a responsive WordPress platform to provide the client with an intuitive CMS that allowed them to manage their own content.
The new brand has been successfully received by consumers, stakeholders and staff. The consistency of all brand communications has strengthened VSK’s image and has also resulted with greater fundraising success.
Providing the client with guidelines, logos, fonts and templates has ensured consistency as well as greater control and independence for their internal marketing team.
Since the relaunch of the site, VSK now has the ability to measure visitors to their site and can also update their content in a timely and reactive-fast manner.
