Brand Strategy and Creative Services
Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is Australia’s leading service provider for autism and other disabilities.
Following a new vision, mission and values statement, Autism Spectrum required a refresh of their corporate identity, involving the design of a new logo. The logo needed to modernise the brand’s image, encapsulating the human aspect of the organisation in order to better connect with their audience. With the NFP marketplace an increasingly competitive space, the new logo needed to effectively stand out in a crowded arena and have the power to attract the attention of their potential audience. Being an NFP, tight budgets (and deadlines) were expected; to enable Autism Spectrum to benefit from professional commercial services on a limited budget, MIH undertook the logo design and corporate guidelines pro bono, with subsequent work offered at a special NFP rate.
WHAT WE DID
The MIH creative team designed a new logo for Autism Spectrum, conveying a friendlier, more approachable brand image through the use of earthy colours and more natural shapes. The new logo was applied across a wide range of print-based assets – including corporate stationery, signage, and apparel – and was designed to be ‘digital ready’ for subsequent application online. By providing the client with professionally-designed templates, they could ensure consistency in the way their brand was represented, as well as having greater control and independence at an internal level. Once the new logo had been designed, Make It Happen presented it to the Board on the behalf of Autism Spectrum, delivering a professional, persuasive presentation.
Following a successful outcome from the Board, initial response to the redesigned logo has been very positive. As a not for profit creative agency, we’re always pleased to see our work making a difference.
