Tifenn Dano, Regional Channel Partner Marketing Manager, SAP APJ
Make It Happen has a rare understanding of the complex end-to-end Channel Marketing process through which software companies are attracting Mid Market demand.
Karen Jarvis, Software Group Channel Marketing Manager, IBM AUS
In my two years working alongside Make It Happen we have jointly developed and executed over 120 individual and innovative Software Business Partner Campaigns across Australia and New Zealand. Together we generated more than $6 million of pipeline revenue for our Business Partner community.
Make It Happen’s professionalism, marketing strategy development, marketing communications, planning and execution capabilities stretched across myriad marketing communication tactics to produce these results for IBM.
The staff are professional, pleasant and always willing to go the extra mile to get the results we demand from them. Make it Happen’s team includes effective copywriting and creative teams, all with lengthy experience in the IT marketplace, reducing our turnaround time to market.
Their key strengths lie in three areas:
1. Developing integrated marketing communication campaigns that have a multi-touch approach and lead to effective IBM Software Solution education / awareness / pipeline building within this particular IT software community.
2. Ensuring effective, prompt, professional telemarketing / tele-profiling campaigns that utilise consistent , long term experienced IT staff who easily build rapport with clients using innovative and compelling scripts that drive to a call to action.
3. Working efficiently with our Business Partner community to proactively develop compelling campaign concepts/ messaging and offers.
I am very pleased to provide this endorsement for IBM’s preferred Channel Marketing agency, Make it Happen.
Nick Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Wunan Foundation
Knowing where to start – and what needs to be done to get started – can be a real road block when it comes to updating your website. So when the agency takes the initiative and has the willingness to drive you to action, the positives for change far outweigh the negatives.
From the very first conversation, we knew that Make it Happen (MIH) understood where we at, asking the right questions to clarify the direction we needed to take to meet our business objectives.
The MIH team helped us to challenge the perceptions and preconceived ideas we held around design, content and, crucially, the image we were portraying of indigenous issues on the website. By showing us the importance of conveying a ‘real’ and accurate depiction of these serious issues – rather than shying away from the often harsh reality of the subject matter – MIH were able to perfectly capture the tone, look and feel we were trying to communicate.
MIH were flexible and easy to work with throughout the website redesign process, providing creative solutions to the many barriers that exist in the tough not for profit, non Government Indigenous environment of Wunan.
Our new website has exceeded our creative expectations and we have had great feedback from our key stakeholders. We are embracing the tools we now have to communicate our achievements and challenges to the broader community – raising awareness and encouraging connection with people that want to contribute financially.
MIH have provided us the tools and the training to make most content updates internally, with the blog and news feeds managed by us. MIH will continue to partner with Wunan in the long term, providing advice, more complex content and design enhancements, and user support.
Wunan were delighted to find a creative company that provided high quality outcomes at a reasonable cost. We would recommend MIH to anyone in need of a company that works with you, provides strong creative support and enables you to build long term relationships with their talented and easy going team.
Sarah Leverett, Marketing Manager – Australia and New Zealand, FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc.
We have been using make it happen for the past 6 months and have seen a huge improvement in our marketing materials and digital campaigns. Engagement and click through rates have increased significantly with our direct mail and our overall branding has improved.
Our new flyers have also been very popular, with our overseas colleagues requesting copies! Along with great creative materials, MIH have allowed us to push fast campaigns through with a great sense of urgency.
Lynn Card, CEO, Xavier Children’s Support Network
With our website and corporate identity both in need of a contemporary update – but not knowing how to get started or what to expect – Make It Happen were able to come on board and step us through the entire process.A complete refresh of our online and offline identity – including website and social media, service flyers, staff name badges, signage, and corporate stationery– helped us modernise our brand image, while the employment section on our website transformed the way we manage recruitment.
Ian Thomas, Marketing Manager, Tardis Services
Tardis Services wasn’t always a marketing-focussed organisation, but our first engagements with Make It Happen, back in 2005, were so successful and generated so many leads that we were converted.
Since then Make It Happen has taken on the role of our virtual marketing department – where we have the ability to choose our marketing agency, we choose Make It Happen. External forces sometimes require us to work with other marketing partners; we always come back to Make It Happen.
They don’t just provide marketing services; their strategy and guidance around all matters marketing have been invaluable in building pipeline for us as a sales-driven organisation. They understand us, they understand our market and they understand that we come to them whenever we need their services – they never force themselves or their ideas onto us.
As a result of working with Make It Happen, we now have a structured communications process with our customers and prospects, we have outstanding material to work with and we know that Make It Happen will nurture our contacts who are not yet ready to buy so that we can focus our sales efforts where they bring us the best returns.
I look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Make It Happen indefinitely.
Sarah Husbands, Marketing Director, Avaya
Avaya engaged Make it Happen to support a 6 city road-show around Australia and New Zealand. The road-show covered some 1400 registrations with Make it Happen supplying event communications, project management and event support services include tele-boosting, virtual event registration and administration.
Engaging Make it Happen allowed me to focus on delivering the best possible show for our customers knowing that the invitation process and registration handling were being expertly covered.
Make it Happen were professional, timely and accurate and the road-show was a resounding success.
Steve Roddick, AV Cranes Australia Pty Ltd
We have engaged Make It Happen’s services across a wide range of projects, including corporate identity, website design and development, SEO, and print collateral; I can say without reservation that MIH have exceeded my expectations in every aspect of these projects.
Having worked with Gail and her team for the last 14 years – and now using them exclusively – I have always found Make It Happen to be highly professional, and the quality of the work to be first class. The staff are friendly and efficient, while Gail’s knowledge and practical, no nonsense approach just seems to make it happen!
Following our new website, MIH conducted a lead generation campaign in which over 400 potential crane users were contacted. Our first order from this campaign is already underway – with a value of around $60,000 and GP of 25% – and I expect the campaign will have paid for itself within six months.
If you are a business owner and want to make the absolute maximum out of your marketing budget I can wholeheartedly recommend you talk to Gail and then test her team. I will be using MIH for many years to follow.
Sarah Hosking, Chief Executive Officer, Very Special Kids
Refreshing our brand identity, including a logo that had been used for 25 years since Very Special Kids’ inception, presented certain challenges for our organisation .Make It Happen took the time to understand our vision and reasons for change, then provided expertise to guide us through the entire process.
Make it Happen worked with us to find the best way to communicate the sensitive subject of caring for children with life-threatening conditions in a way that respects the families we support.
The result was a fresh new logo that represented the essence of Very Special Kids and a more caring and compassionate image to the work we do. Our brand really came to life when Make It Happen created additional design elements to complement the new logo, such as the colour palette, iconography, bubbles and contemporary visual devises. We have also benefited from Make It Happen’s digital expertise – a fully responsive website and the creation of artwork for social media have enabled us to increase our online presence.
Through a collaborative partnership, Make It Happen have created a consistent visual identity for Very Special Kids, which we can also control internally through the development of templates and brand guidelines. We have recommended Make It Happen to other not for profit organisations undertaking brand projects, as the advice we have received and the results achieved have been outstanding
Ashley Chapman, Manager, Nexus Primary Health
We were after a company that understood our needs and our diverse nature. Gail and the team at Make It Happen took the time to get to know our organisation and brand allowing them to provide us with materials that were meaningful.
The team at Make It Happen were patient with us, and took our brand on a journey, encouraging innovative thought and design. Our new template suite and logo presentation really reflects our organisation as contemporary and fresh. We would highly recommend organisations great and small to contact Make It Happen. We have more works planned in the future!
Tanya Jepson, Marketing & Comms, Schaeffler Australia Pty Ltd
MIH far exceeds other suppliers in terms of their ability to connect, understand and interpret requirements. They have always demonstrated a knowledge and respectful view of our industry as well as our company – seeing it not just as showcase opportunity, rather as a direct value-add delivery of our brand and identity.
We are consistently happy to engage with the creative services MIH offer as a result of the dedication and commitment to our partnership – even in the face of seemingly unreasonable requests on my part. The ‘value-add’ of the relationship extends far beyond singular projects into suggestions, input and recommendations that support overall focus and direction of the brand and company.
Not the only ones to notice; we’ve received very positive feedback from distribution partners expressing pride to be associated with us with regards to the standards of our branding. The impact and positioning at a recent tradeshow where MIH was pivotal in the creation of our look and feel inspired this sentiment.
Finally, the key word for me when thinking about MIH is value. The level of skill, experience and insight that they bring to projects, our working relationship and our brand journey.
Lauren Tanfield, Manager, Communications, Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect)
Refreshing a brand is never easy; when the brand is synonymous with the delivery of trusted, critical support services, there is added pressure. We were delighted when a local agency, Make It Happen, undertook our brand refresh as a pro-bono project, while still taking the time to fully understand our rationale for change – to both reflect a new vision, mission and values statement, and to equip us with a new logo device that would work across print, digital, signage and apparel.
Working with MIH, the process was clear, the steps were logical, and the outcome was everything we hoped for. In addition to designing our new logo, Make It Happen provided further assistance by presenting it to the board on our behalf – with the advantage of their knowledge and expertise, this was instrumental in obtaining approval.
The newly designed logo ticked all our boxes, showcasing a fresh, modern and more ‘human’ image for our brand. Applied across a wide range of assets – from corporate stationery to signage and apparel – our new identity was projected on a variety of print-based platforms. Equipping our team with templates, Make It Happen ensured we were able to maintain consistency and have greater control of our brand internally – allowing us to benefit from professional design, with the ability to use this independently.

Rachel McCusker, Project Coordinator, Innogence Ltd
Having worked with Make It Happen in the past, I had no hesitation in recently briefing them to refresh the Innogence website and corporate communications. I have been consistently impressed by MIH’s innovative dedication to the project and the high standard of work they deliver.
Christopher Bertram, Sales Manager, Iocane Pty Ltd
Iocane designs, integrates and supports mission critical information systems, often working in partnership with IBM. Iocane and IBM recently undertook two direct marketing campaigns focused on providing solutions that enable customers to run their information systems more efficiently in tougher economic conditions, whilst addressing the transition to more environmentally sound technology.
These campaigns were Iocane’s first foray into direct marketing. Make It Happen was chosen to manage both campaigns and we were delighted with our choice. We found Make It Happen’s professional staff highly knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge, offering us valuable advice as “first timers”.
During the campaigns, we were consistently updated with progress on the many opportunities that were created and followed up, giving Iocane new markets filled with additional business opportunities.
Make It Happen surpassed all our expectations; I highly recommend them to run your marketing campaigns.
